• 1st Convocation Ceremony of SIEC Deemed University

The Honourable Vice President of India Shri Bhairon Singh Shekawat visited Symbiosis on the occasion of 1st Convocation of Our Deemed University as Chief Guest on 27th Nov 2004.

• The function was held at Symbiosis Society’s Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Lawn. The Family of Symbiosis was honoured to have the Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri Bhairon Singh Shekawat as the Chief Guest. The Guest of Honour for this occasion was Shri Sureshdada Jain, Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra.



• To grace the occasion Mrs.Deepti Choudhary, Mayor of Pune was also present. The programme started with lighting of lamps by Vice President of India Shri Bhairon Singh Shakawat and other dignitaries present on the dais. The Deans of faculty of Law, faculty of Management, and faculty of Computer Studies, had conferred the degrees and diplomas to the respected students.



• The Chancellor’s Gold Medals were awarded to the students who had achieved success in their academics. The Chancellor of Symbiosis Deemed University Dr.S.B. Mujumdar had felicitated the chief guest and guest of honors by presenting them with the replica of well renowned cartoonist Mr.R.K.Laxman’s common man, and Shawl and also bouquet.



• The students from 25 different countries had presented their respective countries flags and roses to the chief guest in an age-old tradition of symbiosis. The Vice Chancellor Lt.Gen.Dr.M.A.Tutakne had delivered the report of symbiosis Deemed University. The chancellor of Symbiosis Deemed University Dr.S.B.Mujumdar addressed the alumni and also the audience.



• The Hon’ble Vice President of India Bhairon Singh Shekhawat had delivered the convocation address to the alumni and also the audience. Thereafter the Chief Guest and also the Guest of Honours had joined the Family of Symbiosis for lunch.
